Application

Full Membership

To become a full member of the Association the following qualifications must be met:

• Be a graduate of a recognized massage therapy program with a minimum of 2200 hours of education
• Submit proof of certification in first aid and CPR for adults and children
• Disclose any criminal convictions for which the Association may reserve the right to refuse membership based on related or relevant criminal convictions
• Is responsible for behaving in accordance with the bylaws and objectives of the Association
• Pay in advance all membership fees as required
• Maintain continuing education credits as required
• Maintain insurance coverage as required

Application procedure for full membership:

1. Complete application form
2. Attach diploma(s)
3. Attach proof of first aid as required
4. Disclose any criminal convictions
5. Enclose payment or pay online
6. Email , fax or mail contents
7. You will receive confirmation and be assigned a membership number. This number will not be activated until we receive proof of insurance coverage
8. The current cost of a Full membership is $250 for the year plus $95 for insurance.

Associate Membership

To become an associate member of the Association the following qualifications must be met:

• Will have completed a minimum of 1000 hours of education from a recognized massage therapy program
• Will be enrolled in a second year (1200 hour minimum) recognized massage therapy program that when completed will meet the requirements necessary for full membership
• Will operate within the scope of practice of their current level of training
• Is responsible for behaving in accordance with the bylaws and objectives of the Association
• Disclose any criminal convictions for which the Association may reserve the right to refuse membership based on related or relevant criminal convictions
• Maintain insurance coverage as required

Application procedure for associate membership:

1. Complete application form
2. Attach copy of first year diploma
3. Attach copy of your acceptance letter into your second year program
4. Disclose any criminal convictions
5. Enclose payment or pay online
6. Email , fax or mail contents

You will receive confirmation and be assigned a membership number. This number will not be activated until we receive proof of insurance coverage. The cost of an Associate membership is $250 for the year plus $95 for insurance.

Inactive Membership

To become an inactive member of the Association the following qualifications must be met:

• Be a graduate of a recognized massage therapy program with a minimum of 2200 hours of education
• Disclose any criminal convictions for which the Association may reserve the right to refuse membership based on related or relevant criminal convictions
• Is responsible for behaving in accordance with the bylaws and objectives of the Association
• Pay in advance all membership fees as required
• Wishes to maintain membership in the Association but is no longer billing for massage treatments
• Does not require insurance coverage

2. Enclose payment or pay online
3. Email , fax or mail contents if required

The cost of an Inactive membership is $250 for the year. Insurance coverage is not required.
